For this activity I decided to go to Sunset Beach to mold my hand today. It was actually a very windy day at the beach. This was a lot harder than I expected it to be. When mixing the plaster, I felt like my bucket was not sufficient enough to mix the plaster efficiently. However, I made it work and it was a very enjoyable time to get my mind off of studying for Anatomy. I had to mold my hand with the sand a couple times because when I pulled my hand out I felt some sand fall into my mold, so I did it again until I thought it would be good enough.
Looking back at it, I do not think my plaster was thin enough. It was too thick, therefore it did not reach the bottom of all my finger holes. However, it did get to the bottom of my thumb and index finger hole. As seen above, those are the only two parts of my hand that came out successfully.
