This week in class, I talked to Andy Wagner. He is a graduating senior and he is going to graduate after this fall semester. However, he cannot walk until spring because that is the only time the university offers the graduation ceremony. He is going to graduate with a degree in Geography. Andy wants to do field work with his degree such as: soil sampling and testing the water quality. Andy is a Long Beach native; he went to Milikan High School which is down the street from CSULB. He went to CSULB all four years to get his degree, however he said he took some time off between a couple semesters. Andy and I actually spent a lot of time walking around Maccabee’s works. This picture is one of the works that we spent a lot of time in front of, where actually we had no idea what we were talking about. Similar to me, Andy had no art experience besides high school fine art requirements.
We talked about the art works a little bit, but actually we spent a lot of our time talking about sports. We talked about how there is not an NFL football team in Los Angeles. It was weird to us because we both firmly agreed even if the team was not very good, that people would still attend the games, and the team would still make a lot of money. For baseball, Andy is a LA Dodger fan, similar to me and the rest of my family. I had a nice time meeting Andy and I know there are bright things ahead in his future.
