My Instagram posts, one of them was at the Week of Welcome, and another one of them was a picture of my TV of the first NFL game of the season. Now why did I talk about those two in specific? The answer to that is when I was looking through the #Art110F14 pictures, a lot of the pictures I saw were also at the Week of Welcome. I saw some other pictures of the first NFL game on a person’s TV as well. Is that just a coincidence? I think not. I think at CSULB whether we like it or not, we are one big family who have common interests and also common goals; With the saying, “Graduation starts today” that I saw my first time ever stepping on this campus at SOAR one year ago.
When I look through the pictures I did not see totally disconnected lives. It felt exactly how Glenn put it: Like one big community. On the other hand, I am not saying that we are all exactly the same, taking pictures of the same exact things. We all have our different clubs and extracurricular activities. Which range from me in Army ROTC, to me seeing one of my classmates’ video of him break dancing the CSULB breaker’s club. Guess what though, different activities? Yes, but guess where they both took place? At CSULB.
